I can’t believe it! You turned two yesterday. I just looked back at how many letters I’ve written you. More than 50! Wow. It feels like I’ve written five or six. I can’t believe the way time moves on. It’s relentless. And what I read about parenting is certainly true: “The days are long, but the years are short.” I only hope I’m doing a good job for you and your brother and your mom.
I read the letter I wrote you at one week old and I cried.
I read Cause and Effect and I think I might be pretty smart.
I read this and I remember how quick you grew from a newborn.
I could write and reflect and write a little more, but, right now, I’d like to see you and your brother.
