Decker,
I hope you look out for the underdog – the one with no friends, the one nobody will talk to. Just talk to him, if you can. You don’t have to love him or be his best friend. Hell, you don’t even have to be his friend at all, if it doesn’t suit you. But try to relate to him just a little.
Not only do the lonely hurt themselves, but they’re a danger to society. But usually not in the beginning. Not in grade school or middle school. And it’s then that these dudes fall off the map.
If you are one of these guys by some random twist of the world, you can always talk to me. And if you can’t talk to me because I’m not around, you can always talk to one of Dad’s friends like Geoff or Mazer or Greg. You’re not alone, Decker. No one else should be either.
