The Problem:
At the risk of being accused of ageism, senior driving is going to be an epidemic of historic proportions. Senior driving is often just awful. Not always, of course, but often enough to see a trend.
The Business
Plain and simple…buy a taxi company. Eventually, seniors stop driving. Sometimes it is by their own choice, sometimes their kids’ choice, sometimes the state’s choice. As the population ages, more people will be less able to provide their own transportation. Government services will continue to be cut and unable to keep up with demand.
Doableness
All it takes, as a willing buyer, is some cash and a willing seller. I don’t think there is any need to reinvent the wheel here. Buy an existing business.
My Thoughts
You could retrofit the cars or vans with devices to service seniors specifically, but it is not necessary. Doing so, however, could assist with marketing. It could also help business operations as you would have quicker in and outs.
You could establish pricing based on a regular schedule, instead of per time/per mile, etc.
This is another example of The Aging Population.
