The Beach, PreK, and K!

by Byron on September 11, 2018

Since the last time I wrote to you guys on July 17, a number of huge things have happened.

First, we went to the beach for a whole month.  We hung out everyday.  We relaxed, we played games, we played catch, we rode scooters.  You guys went to the beach, we went night swimming almost every evening.  Gibby and Daddy fell down the steps at the waterpark. We went to the boardwalk, you guys played games, rode rides, and even rode the gravitron!  Decker was a jugglers helper at a crowded boardwalk performance.  We flew a kite super high!  Grandma and Grandpa and Mimi and PopPop and Aunt Heather and Uncle Andrew came down to hang out with us.  For a week we played with all the cousins – Jocie and Erin and Ezra and Ellie and Demi.  We read books and watched movies and did some jigsaw puzzles – including one of a beach scene that was basically nothing but sand.  You guys took some tennis lessons.  We ate ice cream.  Lots of ice cream.  And candy.

It was awesome!

Then we started school.  Gibson’s first day at McDonogh was two weeks ago tomorrow.  Pre-K!  Decker started Kindergarten.  We started a morning mantra: “I will be kind.  I will be a good listener.  I will be a good friend.  I will follow directions.”  I need to say it too!  It’s not just for Pre-K’ers and K’ers.

I love you guys!

Dad
